Christmas Concert

On the 6 of December all the classes performed songs for the parents and relatives in the church in Ardagh.

Junior and Senior Infants took to the stage first and sang Mary Will You Take This Baby Boy, Little Donkey and finally When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney. Next up was First and Second Class who performed All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth, An Chéad Nollaig and Jingle Bell Rock. Then it was the turn of Third and Fourth Class who sang We Three Kings, Go Tell It On The Mountain and Deck The Halls.

Fifth and Sixth Class took the stage next singing Down To The River To Pray and Winter Song, then Evan Curtin, Darragh and Clara played a medley of songs on the accordion including Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Away in Manger and Fairytale of New York. The audience was then treated to a beautiful solo of O Holy Night sung by Rosa Parks.

The night’s entertainment was finished off by all the classes on stage together singing Rudolf The Red-Nosed Reindeer and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The whole school practised really hard for weeks and all the pupils were extremely proud to perform for their parents and relatives. We hope everybody in the audience had a good time. Well done to all the teachers, the performers, Dylan from Music Generation and everybody who helped out and handed out sweets.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Rosemary Honan, 6th Class.
